RenovationCalculator.AU provides an independent, browser-based renovation cost estimation tool for Australian homeowners. The estimates produced are based on industry benchmark data and are intended to assist with preliminary budgeting and planning only.
The Site does not provide:
- Formal builder or contractor quotes
- Construction specifications or project plans
- Financial, legal or professional advice of any kind
- Guarantees of any specific renovation outcome or cost
Accuracy of estimates
Renovation cost estimates are derived from publicly available industry data including HIA benchmarks, hipages market data, Rawlinsons construction costs, and state authority publications. While we take reasonable care to keep data current and accurate, we make no warranty that estimates will match actual contractor quotes for any specific project.
Actual renovation costs vary based on site conditions, material selections, structural complexity, access constraints, contractor availability and individual pricing. Always obtain at least three written quotes from licensed contractors before committing to any renovation project.
No professional relationship
Use of this Site does not create a professional, contractual or advisory relationship between you and RenovationCalculator.AU. We are not your builder, financial adviser, architect or legal representative.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, RenovationCalculator.AU and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of or reliance on the estimates or information provided by this Site, including but not limited to financial loss resulting from renovation decisions made based on calculator estimates.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).
Intellectual property
All content on this Site, including text, calculation methodology, design and code, is the intellectual property of RenovationCalculator.AU unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.
You may share individual estimates generated by the calculator for personal, non-commercial planning purposes.

This Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of those sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
